This reclaimed canvas deck chair is an authentic 1940’s piece of history. However, it direly needed to be repurposed. The original classic green striped fabric was ripped and falling apart, and the chair was no longer usable. Hours of work went into this, and it was a total labour of love considering how difficult these chairs can be to work with!

This one-of-a-kind piece is sewn, tacked, sanded and varnished by yours truly, Hilary Jane.

The Happy Valley is a place that inspires the soul that occupies this body—of work and of flesh. Gathered from the soils, valleys, rivers and lakes of my home is an ode to my roots, to nature and its preservation.

Due to the nature of print on canvas, some minor imperfections occurred.
